Protocol

We use TCP/IP via standard Ethernet as the transmission protocol. Cranium provides the server, which only allows one connection at a time. As the controller operates with a cycle time of 70 ms, the latencies of TCP/IP are completely sufficient (usually 1 to 3 ms in the local network). If absolutely necessary, Cranium Fieldbus supports the Profinet, Profibus, and CANopen protocols.
