Introduction

Cranium offers many options to prepare your crane systems for the industrial future. You have come to the right place if you want to operate your cranes more productively, reliably, and, above all, safely. To this end, our system not only supports the activation of various safety and driver assistance functions but can also implement semi-automatic or fully automatic operation of your cranes in conjunction with various sensors.

Motivation

We at Polarith value the holistic user experience, which means you are not left to your devices at any project stage. Our team of experienced engineers and technicians will provide comprehensive support in advance during commissioning, after commissioning, and during operation. Our benchmark is to achieve only the best quality results for your systems.

We keep the content of this documentation as short as possible and as detailed as necessary so that you can concentrate on the essentials. Please let us know if this does not work as well as we would have liked in certain areas. We are always grateful for constructive feedback.

About this Documentation

This chapter introduces the terms, abbreviations, notes, and warning signs necessary for understanding. Then, we briefly introduce the Cranium system and how things are interconnected. The rest of the documentation is divided into two separate sections. Here, we have the manual on the one hand and the interfaces on the other. In the manual, we introduce modules and the associated functions, clarify possible sources of error, the boundary conditions, and the applications for which these functions are suitable. The section for the interfaces focuses on integrating these functionalities on the crane.
